Hi Guys
About time we had a different weather forecast – seems to be the same lately – 14 knots SE, showers etc.
Firstly : Many thanks to all DF65 skippers for parking in the car park once again due to the wet & muddy condition of the point – I understand some of you being disappointed that other classes aren’t following suit recently, me too. . Looking after the point is very important to ensure we adhere to our SCC Land Permit… without it we have a problem.
9 DF65’s raced 10 handicap races in the 1st Round of our Winter Handicap series – good A+ rig conditions, only one brief shower despite the grey clouds shooting overhead.

Highlight of the day : Although it was handicap racing this morning with top guns like Kim #42 & Michael #45 working hard on high handicaps ie 50 & 60 seconds to catch up with the front end of the fleet we still had 5 different race winners including Tony, Owen & Richard. Well done guys.
Thanks to Tony for trailer / battery duties. Thanks also to the scorer / RO for an excellent job 🙂
DF65 State Championships : 8th / 9th August at Emerald Lakes, Gold Coast. Hosted by Paradise Radio Yacht Club. Interested ? Check out https://radiosailing.org.au/index.php?arcade=event&eventid=21079. Cost $50.00. 16 entries already including two of our top guys.
Reminder : No DF65 racing this Saturday – The DF95’s have a two day regatta happening this coming weekend – 21 boats on a single start with some of the Qld’s best performing. Good to see 10 Club members entered !
Have a great week.
Cheers
Mark
