Hi Skippers,
Another super close afternoon of sailing for the 12 skippers enjoying the 3-5 knot SE breeze. There were many lifts and knocks with the odd hole with no wind. Getting it right was key. Some did but many didn’t. Chockies to boiled lollies.
At the 1/2 time break there were 5 skippers all tied on points. That made for a intense last 4 races.
Phil Gray #147 joined our Tuesday fleet with his TNT I-meter. Starting on scratch made him a target for as all to hunt down. He sailed well finishing on the podium in most races which gave him the win for the day. Well sailed! Bill Burley #80 also had many podium finishes and sailed himself into 2nd place. Rounding up the top 3 was Garry McMahon #57. Very consistent sailing as well.
Congrats to the place getters:
1st Phil Gray #147 25 points
2nd Bill Burley #80 29 points
3rd Garry McMahon #57 30 points

Thanks to Bill Heritage for scoring the day and running the start box. You kept the day flowing well. With 12 yachts racing some of the finishes were full on. Well done!
Thanks to all for helping with the buoybots and dinghy. Will done John Halloran for rescuing his and John McAulay’s yachts that were tied together.
See you all on Saturday for Meter Cup Scratch / H’cap racing.
Happy sailing,
Simon K
