Tuesday IOM H’cap Annual series #2 results

Hi Skippers,

We had 11 skippers at IOM sailing this afternoon but Tony Silver recovering from his general anesetic yesterday said he would do the stat box and scoring duties.

Garry McMahon ( who had battery issues on Saturday ) arrived at sailing only to find his transmitter was left on for 2 days and had completely flat batteries. He then did the line calling and coaching our new sailor Graham Sargent #47. Thanks for helping him out.

He managed to win heat 7 today. We were all pleased for Graham to finally have a heat win.

The remaining 9 skippers had a challenging afternoon of sailing with 3 to 10 knot East to SE winds. Holes, lifts and knocks greeted the fleet throughout all 10 heats.

Mastering the tricky conditions was Rob Priest # 17. He seemed to be where the wind was all afternoon. Well sailed. !!! 2nd with a very consistent day was Paul Newman sailing his K2 #60. 3rd with a big second half of sailing was Greg McGill on a tiebreak with Derick Warne. John Halloran sailing His V8 also had a good afternoon picking the shifty winds.

Congrats to the place getters:

1st Rob Priest #17

2nd Paul Newman #60

3rd Greg McGill #62

4th Derick Warne #97 (on count back)

Thanks to all who helped pack up the buoybots and trailer. Many hands make light work.

Thanks to Derick for taking the trailer to Tony’s house.

See you all on Saturday for Scratch racing.

Happy sailing,

Simon K
