Hi Skippers,
We finally had a blue sky and sunshine afternoon but the 6 – 12 knots West to SE wind was a little chilly. 12 sailors enjoyed a very tactical afternoon of close racing. The wind shifts were massive (some 30-40 degrees ) and getting it right was very tricky.
We had a visit from Andrew Wilson the buoybot guru from Brisbane with his VISS #16. He won the day but his scores were deleted for our club sailscores results. Thanks Andrew for sailing with us and sharing your knowledge especially with the buoybots.
Working the correct shifts was key and Geoff Wilson #25 and John Halloran #83 were doing just that. Doug Turner showed great speed with his “woody” #82 and sailed into 3rd place.
Congrats to the place getters:
1st Geoff Wilson #25 18points
2nd John Halloran #83 26 points
3rd Doug Turner #82 31points

Thanks to all who helped pack up the 6 buoybots and trailer.
Thanks also to Tony Silver for picking up the trailer.
Much appreciated as I needed to pick up my son from school.
Well done to those IOM skippers who sailed in the DF 95 SE QLD Regatta over the weekend. You did our club proud. Well done!
See you all on Saturday.
Happy sailing,
Simon K
