Hi Skippers,
Another very close and tight afternoon of sailing with 12 skippers and a good 5 – 8 knot South to SW wind.
All were on A rigs and the H’cap system kept the starts clean and the fleet very close together. The wind was shifting from South to SW with the odd hole with no wind. Getting it right for the afternoon was Geoff Wilson #25 on his TS 2. Tony Silver started the day on a high after winning the DF 65’s but after 3 races the H’cap system and battery issues meant he came back to the pack. John Halloran #83 showed how consistent sailing pays off and managed plenty of podium finishes and ended up in 2nd place. Well sailed! 3rd was Tug Boat Phil #147.
A really nice afternoon of close IOM racing.
Congrats to the place getters:
1st Geoff Wilson #25 23 points
2nd John Halloran #83 28 points
3rd Phil Gray #147 29 points

We had a quick rain shower just before the start and another after heat 8. After a short break we managed to sail the last 2 heats in great conditions.
Thanks to those who helped pack up and to Tony silver for taking the trailer.
See you all on Tuesday for our Summer series H’cap racing. 2 race days to go for the series.
Happy sailing,
Simon K
