Due to the weather forecast for Saturday 21st May the SCRSC has postponed the SE Qld Laser Championships. We will reschedule later in the year. Apologies for any inconvenience caused to Entrants & volunteers.

The Sunshine Coast Radio Sailing Club is honoured & excited to have been awarded the 2022 Australian RC Laser National Championships – 18th , 19th & 20th November 2022. Venue : Lake Kawana, Sportsmans Parade, Bokarina.

Sunshine Coast Radio Sailing Club is proud to be holding the SE Queensland Laser Championships on Saturday 21st May 2022 – the venue is Lake Kawana, Sportsmans Parade, Bokarina. ( Behind the Liberty Servo).

The Australian Radio Yachting Association, with support from The Qld Radio Yachting Association, has awarded SCRSC the hosting of The 2022 Australian RC Laser Championships to be held on the Sunshine Coast in November 2022- Watch this space for further details. Very exciting !!

Many thanks to Club Kawana for their continued support in 2022 – very much appreciated by our Members. A great location for lunch, dinner, meetings & of course Lawn Bowls.

Our sincere thanks for the support received recently from our local MP Jarrod Bleijie in donating a 3m x 3m marquee to our Club. Great quality & nicely sign written – will certainly keep the sun ( & rain ) off our members. Thanks Jarrod, very much appreciated.

Held on Sat 19th Feb SCRSC’s 2022 Laser Open Invitational attracted 13 competitors. The SCRSC team worked tirelessly to host an event that will be remembered for great sailing, fair competition & a good atmosphere…not to mention the food and drinks organised by Adele Pearce & the cake/savouries by Diane Lewis.

The day was expertly RO’d by Neil Carroll who with his volunteer Observers controlled the racing side of the day, Overall organisation was conducted by Derick Warne. Scoring was done by David Black, ably assisted by Gwen Warne & Diane Lewis on the finish line. Thanks to the various volunteers that help make the event such a success… much appreciated by competitors and Members alike.
